Public Funding Agencies for research and innovation
The main public funding organisation for research and development is Tekes. Tekes funds industrial projects and projects in research organisations. Tekes's main funding focus are innovative and risk-intensive projects.
The Academy of Finland provides funding for high-quality scientific research, serves as an expert in science and science policy, and strengthens the position of science and research. The Academy is also committed to increasing public understanding of science through science events and science weeks.
